Second Ball Jointed Doll - Have the joints done
And its just a hand ahead LOL, yep I finally got to make her joints and feet. Next will be the hands and it will be ready. Here some pics:
I had her temporary stringing just to be sure all the joints are working. And I knew polymer clay couldn't take the pressure, one of her thighs was staring to crack just a little, so after I checked for the joint function I had to un-string her quickly, well It mat be the kind of polymer clay I used, it may be stronger with Fimo puppen or another kind of strong clay. but still, all the pieces are meant to take lot of pressure.

Back to Make BJDoll !
Oh yeah... I'm back. This time I'm making a master Doll for Casting.
So.. materials use: Sculpey Polymer Clay (Not really a good pick this clay is way to soft, its cheap but It will be better to work with Super Sculpey) aluminum foil for filling, brass tubes, craft drill machine, sponge sand paper, sculpting tools.
And this is what I have so far...
This time even if this piece is meant to be cast I wont be making a double jointed Doll, but just an abdominal joint, limbs will have simple joints, I will try a double jointed Doll next time.

I can say my BJD is Finish
Pretty much, I think hair and outfit will be the add on LOL
But here she is posing for the cameras. I few personal reviews from this work:
1. You can't see on the pics (well maybe if you have a very good eye lol) but there is a lot of imperfections on her joints, some details on the composition of the body (hard to get good details because of the air dry clay)
2. The eyes are acrylic (Glib for BJD)
3. I was crazy trying to make a double jointed for my first Doll (way much work!!). And I didn't make it right joints can't really totally bend :(
4. The ball on thigh and legs are wood balls
And so... thanks for your comments... yep very soon I'll adding hair and making an outfit for my naked first BJD.
And I just finished her rear head and she pose for me for a couple well lighted pictures...
